    I have a 2017 SR5 4 door/2WD that came with a DV8 front bumper (https://dv8offroad.com/products/2016-toyota-tacoma-front-bumper?_pos=4&_sid=8a2a09dd8&_ss=r)
I was getting ready to start an oil change and install the TRD pro skid plate I bought, but after removing the stock flimsy skid plate, I saw that the TRD plate extends into where the DV8 bumper is. I could try to install it, maybe with extra spacers on the front bolts, and it would overlap the bumper's mid lower section. I don't know if this would work or look any good. There's also the option of cutting the bumper and/or plate, but I doubt that would ever be worth it. What do you guys think? Has anyone tried or seen this combo before?
I know my truck is not 4WD and it might sound crazy to want a skid plate, but I still have plans for some off-roading in this truck (just not 4x4 stuff), and the stock skid plate has a couple decent dents in it.
If I can't make use of the TRD plate, I want the next best option which I'm guessing is RCI? It appears their skid plate only comes up to that frame rail where the DV8 bumper ends, so it should fit. I saw DV8 also has a skid plate that should fit. But every website selling the RCI plate notes it doesn't work on 2WD models...is this true? People selling the TRD plate also said it wasn't for 2WD models, but I found out on here it will in fact work. So is it ok to assume the RCI engine skid plate will fit my truck?

Also, how do I know if my truck has the oil cooler that calls for an extra .1 or .2 quarts of oil? It does have the factory installed tow package if that makes a difference.

Mine laid over the end of the bumper and didn't sit flat (1st pic). I went with Mobtown in my new one and it's much better. Never had a problem with it cocked though

Does your aftermarket bumper extend down to that frame rail (or radiator support?) that the front of the skid plate mounts to? In the second pic I can't quite tell...

Does anyone know if the RCI skid plate, or any other plate, will fit with a bumper that goes all the way down to the front edge of the radiator support beam?
How do I know if my Tacoma has the oil cooler for the oil quantity?
This is my first time ever working on a Tacoma.

Pics of the lower part of my DV8 bumper.
I'll test fit the TRD skid plate and see if it works, otherwise I just want to verify the RCI skid plate will fit without interference with the bumper...
Only see 2 small tube coolers and another small cooler in front of the radiator, still don't know if my truck takes 6.1 or 6.2 quarts of oil.

It does. I had to relocate some cool or another when I put it on.
