I have been toying around with the idea of making skid plates for awhile. I need to know if anyone is interested before I buy one to get some dimensions though. I have all the equipment I need to produce these things and can sell them cheaper than the big brands. What kind of interest is out there?

Quality wont be a problem, we have great equipment and I wouldnt send anything out that i'm not proud of. I need to draw these up first before I can get a price. Allpro's price was 269, is that about average among brands? I can do better than that for sure

I'll have to get some dimensions on the 1st gens... but I have to stick to one at a time until the design is done. I'll definately run a sample and post some pics after I have the first made.

I would also be in, depending on price.. Also, would you be interested in making smaller pieces of armor? T-Case, diff cases, transmission etc? I'd probably be down for some of those, depending on price as well.

I would be down for making some other pieces, I'll need to purchase one of each to get some dimensions first

Well, lemmie know, because I'm broke as hell, and can't afford to pay rich kid prices. I tried to make a rear diff skid plate out of cardboard, but when my truck dropped on a rock, I ended up saying lots of cuss words....

I still haven't scanned that emblem yet, either.. but I will... I promise.

Well it looks like there is enough interest to move forward. I'll go ahead and fork up the dough for a skid plate and see what I can do

bump.. those are B/A.. Kinda what I'm lookin for. Anybody running those notice a decrease in MPG? Don't think they'd affect drag at all, but a guy's gotta wonder..
