Do anyone know if there are suppose to have any skid plate or splash guard to protect to bottom of a 2nd gen 2wd 5lug truck.
If not, do anyone know what options there are?
I seem like things like hoses, radiator.etc can easily get damaged from road debris.

Bed rug, ARE bed top, Weathertechs. Little goodies here and there!
Usually a tin shield goes there. These pop up once in a while in the for sale section for 2nd gens. Some will call it a skid plate, it's really just a shield for road debris.
Maybe see if you can get one at the local bone yard?

Yeah I’d say keep an eye on the for sale section. I actually recycled mine cause no one wanted them.

I'm in the same situation. At first I kinda figured the truck came with no guard, but i guess that's what happens when you're not the first owner. I'll keep an eye out on the sale section

I found this part diagram, parts number 13 and 14 are the splash shields?
It looks like the front splash shield needs to be hooked into the hole then bolt on the back.
Thats what i also saw on youtubes, it seems like i would need a different splash shield mount?
Does anyone with a 2wd 5lug, actually have the splash guard on their truck?
Or is this only belongs to the 4wd models?

I have this setup on my Tacoma. From what I've seen around I believe the 4cyl. with 2wd didn't come with a metal splash guard. If I'm not mistaken I think it came with a plastic splash cover.
