Just for the love of god don't get them from the Dealer. You'll pay like 2-3x as much and they'll likely have to special order them for you. As discussed in the above linked thread, go to Ace Hardware, they usually have a huge selection of grade 10.9 bolts. Grade 8.8 would probably be fine if you aren't taking it off-road much and beating on it.

M8x1.25 I believe is what you need. Length doesn't matter too much since they are open bolts on top.

All the factory bolts should be M8-1.25 pitch. 25-35mm long will do the trick. Flange head bolts recommended for ease of install. They're somewhat recessed back so the flange head will keep them from just falling into the bottom of your socket

    Yes, use washers.

I can't tell what grade those are, but higher the better.

Maybe just test fit those (for proper length) before you try and wrestle with the skid plate. Do you have both pieces of the skid plate?

Use a ratchet extension by hand to get the recessed bolts started so you don't cross thread them, then zip them on with a drill or ratchet.

Now go hit it on some rocks. :D

Probably half my bolts are regular, with washers. They're a pain to install with a typical socket; get flange heads as mentioned above.

No. Most of my bolts are none flange and I’ve taken my front/rear bumper, IFS/trans skids enough times. If you don’t have a helping hand, use a floor jack to help you hold the skids in place.

Not sure the grade.Theyre galvanized M8x1.25x30.Theyre not grade 8 or else they'd be gold.So just assuming they will work?

Using a creeper also helps maneuvering under the truck. I’ve used a combination of jack stands, floor jacks, knees, feet, and hands. All my armor are steel and I’ve taken them apart and reinstalled them by myself using those methods and techniques. It’s a good core workout and picking up my bumper is like doing deadlifts.

Metrics use a different grade standard, though. Imperial grade 8 is equivalent to a 10.9 metric.

10.9 comes in a few different finishes. I have some zinc plated ones for my lower ball joints, and the ones for my skidplates happen to be flat black.

Quite honestly, though, the grade doesn't really matter with the stock skid plate. That sheet metal would bend/tear before the bolts even start to bend. I had a nice hole punched in my stock skidplate (happened before I bought it when it was practically brand new).

Stock isn't really a "skid plate" anyway (because it is so thin), I think Toyota calls it an "air deflector" or something, lol.
