The TRD is too busy and nothing looses the excitement. Would the 3 circles be the same price as the TRD?

If so, I'll be up for one in the next few weeks.

that link should get you to some installed pictures. I certainly wouldnt mind doing some group buy prices, but I'd need to get an order of 10 +. The price posted stands for this batch. After this one ships, I'll start a group buy with adjusted prices.

I'm trying to find a good/reliable local welding shop to help me out with some of these projects. Once I find one, it should be no time before I have the diff plate. In fact, if anyone local knows how to weld, or knows a good welder with reasonable prices, let me know!

Just wanted to post something I'm toying with. Someone requested one with a punisher skull, I think this will look sick with a white back plate!

Hi guys, just wanted to review my experience with the skid plate purchase, prep and install. I ordered a solid skid with no coating which is what was received.

I noticed a slight difference from the prototype versions, one mounting point slot was a bit enlarged on its forward end. I'm assuming this was intentional and designed to aid in mounting, allowing the bolt to be installed first, the head to pass through and the plate to be slid forward slightly to lock in.

Prepped the steel a bit with an assortment of grinding disks and sand paper to clean things up a bit. I started to remove all the the mill scale but my 20+ year old Makita sander gave up and after hand sanding the rest I decided it was good enough for spray bomb work. Compressed air to dust it off and a quick wipe down with lacquer thinner:

Something I did notice was the steel had quite a bit of heavy rust pitting so hit that with a coarse wire cup mounted on an angle grinder. Sand blasting would be preferable here but I think it will be ok, if not it can always be blasted later and repainted:

Primed with some Krylon Rust Tough enamel and after that two coats of Duplicolor Ceramic Black header paint (had it on hand so why not), not pictured:

Finished skid plate installed, I just hung the front slots on the stock hook and bolted her up:

Does a solid plate affect cooling? Anyone?

Looks good man! We did fine after screwin around with a couple of em that enlarging that hole made it much easier to install, especially if you're doing it by yourself

I haven't taken my stock skid off yet, but does anyone know how much room is behind the skid plate?

There are at least a few inches in most areas except under the frame supports/ mounting points.
