Skidplate?

Which skidplate does everyone recommend? The pro one is overpriced. $550 Canadian+tax.

one the isn't a 1/4 inch thick. You went something thicker.

 

How thick are your skids? I beat the piss out of my 3/16th reinforced skids and they take it all day

 

Mobtown's plates w/ the gusseted reinforcements on the back.

 

If you spend time on rocks, go 3/16" steel because it slides better. If you don't, get 1/4" aluminum because it doesn't rust and it's just as good at stopping most stuff with only 60% of the weight penalty. I'd suggest finding them somewhere within driving distance because shipping 70lbs of steel skidplate is rarely cheap.

 

I went with RCI. No particular reason. I'm happy with it.

I use the one i got from the BPF group buy. It is legit.. however, you have to remove for oil change so keep that in mind... Once you have taken it on and off a few times you install quick.
