I would recommend going to a ski shop and trying on boots. They can help you decide. I would recommend getting flex of 90. And go for comfort. You really only need a super stiff and tight boot if you're charging big mtn lines or racing. And get it a little snug, because any good ski shop can heat mold most boot liners. But the boot has to have heat-moldable liners. Brands like Atomic, Black Diamond, Tecnica and Dalbello can do this. If you have any more questions, email me. I am Tecnica and Black Diamond certified for fitting ski boots :D

Like I said above, go to a ski shop and try them on. And make sure you get heat-moldable liners. They put the liners in the oven for half hour and make you cram your foot into the boot and they mold to your feet. It sucks getting it done (hot, tight, uncomfortable), but in the end it makes your ski boots fit SO NICE! I'd recommend it for anyone getting new ski boots. And they can usually re-mold liners after time.

some boot fitters can mold custom footbeds for you if you get your boots from them.. i got a pair several years back, and they guy had me place my feet into molds, ..and he used them to create footbeds...

...take the stock footbeds (that came w/ the boots) out, and put the custom ones in.. :)

Yeah I have orthotics i wear with everything. I've had my current boots for like 15 yrs and when I bought them the guy recommended a bigger boot to accomodate the volume my foot takes up. I'll probaly wait till next yr to get a pair since I wont be skiing a whole lot this yr.
