New gear is awesome, fuckin luv these mantras, light and bite, enough of a rocker to lift over some crap chop, can't wait till my Tahoe trip jan 13-17 to try them with some thick powder. Slopes in Colorado suck right now, no snow. Couple black runs, a lot of blues, actually nice to fit new gear, and better than being in Midwest skiing. Time for another beer here at pug ryan brewery, cheers.

Colin, plan a day or two while here and roll south to wolf creek, they're getting pummeled right now, about 3.5 hrs away but well worth it!

There's not enough bandwidth for what's happening.
Wolf Creek is my #1 choice when there's snow ... Alberta chair - 'nuff said.

However, they aren't getting anything significant right now in the way of accumulation. Hope that changes soon.

Compared to summit county etc wolf is doing very well. Twice the base of everyone. I can't tell you how many lifts I've been on last few days where I'd rather be on the mtn bike than on skis.

ok. i know i board and stuff. but i have a question to ask you guys. hear pretty soon i’m getting the bed bars from ATO. to put snowboard rack and a basket on. ok i know they mack like the boxes or what ever to to ski’s and snowboards in. do any of you guys use them, if so what kind and how do you like it? how long it is, and how far past the bed does it stick out? I think the box style would be better for me for when i take the board to NY. I want to keep 12h of road salt and dirt off the board(s).

we only got an afternoon pass there on our last day due to it being -5* at our hotel, but the 4 hour pass was more than enough time to exhaust the mountain. they really don't have a ton open. i'd wait till they ipen the back bowl before you go up there.
