    SO

Got the 1" body lift installed. Bought the lift from 4Crawler. not a bad set up at all, took a little bit to arrive (2 wks) because he makes them to order. I went with the upgraded hardware------> if you do this BUY A 1/2" drill bit for the rear and middle cab mounts (on a 2nd gen 2011 tacoma). The stock hole is 7/16" and after spending 2 hours BEATING a 1/2" bolt in a 7/16" hole, the bolt is NEVER coming out or anything. I drilled the 1/2" hole on the passenger side rear and middle cab mount holes and the bolts slid in with no issues. Passenger side took all of 30 min to complete (torquing and everything) opposed to the driver side which took 2.5 hrs. The bed took all of 40 min (unbolt the gas filler neck and unscrew the gas cap so it can move as the bed lifts).

    half inch drill bit.jpg

To show the lift, before hand the glass fender gingerly touched the bumper. now it does not.

    front bumper.jpg

and just to show the rear.

    Bed.jpg

overall, its easy. Its not until you meet a 7/16" hole with a 1/2" bolt that things get frustrating.

Hopefully I will save someone else the headache and 2.5 hrs, if they come across this ahead of time.

Next project is doing the cab mount relocation now that the body is sitting where I need it.

EDIT: if anyone else is going this route, save the time and go ahead and get the 1" gas neck filler spacer. You will 99% want it for the fuel neck. I did not get it since it wasn't "required" and just ordered it separately when I got home from the installation. Learn from my mistakes haha

you WILL need the radiator drop brackets even for the 1" lift.

You're terrible at this build thread stuff. :D Was curious if the BL is noticeable from a distance.

If you don't see it nobody will. I think everyone is more critical of their own stuff.

perhaps. maybe if I see next to another truck itll be noticable. But i went with the 1" specifically since it was subtle and I wanted it strictly for clearance issues coupled with moving the cab mount back 3"ish. the suspension is set at 2.75" so with the 1" BL, should I add a crawl box or whatever, the space is there and 37" will now be easer, once the cab mount is re positioned.

After that, im DONE for a while haha. Time to just wheel it and enjoy the work put in!

These guys arrived. Wasn't planning on doing this but with the cab mount relocation happening sometime soon and me forcing the 1/2" bolt through a 7/16" hole, im gonna have to cut through the bushing to get it out and relocate the mount. O well, the bushings look pretty shot when adding the 1" BL so its all good.

I need it haha. im going through the process in my head of how to do it properly and not mess up. my ONLY concern is the welding of the mounts since itll be 2 verticals and then an "overhead" horizontal. AND the thickness of the frame I believe is thinner than the mounts so im gonna have to pull from the mount to the frame so as not to burn through the frame (which would be the WORST POSSIBLE MISTAKE and what has me most scared haha)
