Spent the evening assembling the hubs/greasing bearings, etc and getting the perches on the axle. I took a TON of time making sure the measurements on the axle would line up with the trailer, making sure the axle of level, and then that the perches were level on the axle. Took a lot of measuring and remeasuring then bumping something and repeat. . .but I think the hardest part is over now and hopefully will get the axle and suspension attached tomorrow.

Made some good progress on the trailer last night. I have had the hangers and shackles all tacked up but they have been sitting for a week due to work. It was nice to finally get the leafs all done and will soon have a rolling frame. PIC dump:

The trailer is set to ride height, center of the hub is roughly 17.5" off the ground (similar to my truck hub with 35's. The shadow creates an illusion).

Now I am thinking of doing a 12g floor and wood sides (help cut down on costs). Open to suggestions and other's experience!

The first time you off road with it, it will look completely different and never the same again. Unless you powder coat it, good luck keeping the paint on the trailer, let alone looking good.

I get what you're saying and agree. I am looking at having a trailer company here in town paint the frame (who I've gone through for all the metal as well as looking over my plan and tweaking it slightly [they were quick to comment that it was "over engineered" which is expected for a novice as myself]). That way its not just me using can spray paint on the entire thing. I will most likely paint the walls myself, using marine lumber 3/4", just making sure I seal up the edges really well during painting.

I expect it to get dirty and all that, but with it staying in the garage when not in use, I also expect to get some longevity out of it. I do fully understand and anticipate replacing panels of the wood down the road, but my intent is to not have to in the first 5 years.
