Got all of the metal for my bumper build today, useing 1/4" angle iron for the crossmember/base and 2" x 2" .125 1/8" wall square tubing. I took off my stock bumper (now in the trash) and got the crossmember/base built and installed today so I can start welding onto that. :D:woot:

Ordered a new one already painted black:

Moved the blue led's under the seat (crappy pic but you get the idea, and it does light up the front floor board):

fun stuff coming soon! New battery, radiator and CV joints and axles. Added some Rancho RS5000 shocks.
an idea for your back up lights, mount them on top of the bed behind the cab, that way you dont lose them when you lose ground clearance :) thats where my gpa has his mounted, im gonna do the same when i finally get my taco :D i like the cut out bumper too, the one im goin to look at this weekend has a crack in the center of the bumper, saves me from replacing it. i love the ideas i find on here!!!

Cool truck. Really like what you have done. I have been thinking about painting those two chrome pieces on the front bumper black on my truck. How did you paint those? And how has it held up?

Got the brackets and support bars welded on:
    Bracket:

    Support bar:
    6tif7l_4dbd74be050fa9d3016779c2a7d2abced81e3709.gif
Now I just gotta weld on a light hoop with lights tabs and two more pieces going from the front bottom mount angled to the main bar and bedline the whole thing. :D
