Pulled the whole dash apart yesterday after work to try to figure out a good mounting location for the GMRS radio. Where I wanted wouldn't work because the HVAC is right where 2" of the back of the radio would be.
Also found out why my extra lighter plug wasn't working. It wasn't connected...
Decided to order some CaliRaisedLED panels for the center console instead. Went with them because they use rivnut hardware and are longer panels than victory4x4. Rago's price was outrageous and I didn't want the stupid looking bridge.
Should come quick. then In goes the radio, remount the ol' cobra and then make sure everything gets wired up properly. Might make a corner plate to mount the antenna in the bed rather than on the hood. We'll see.

Also gotta tear the dash back apart and make sure the USB plug is seated all the way. @gasparic104 took the truck out today and said it wasn't working. :annoyed:

Swapping CV out on the 03 rolla after work today as well. Busy...

Check my build thread...too much to list.
I mounted my radio like this...just used the bracket that came with, used bolts instead of the provided screws along with wide washers on the other side of the plastic. Haven't had any problems for almost a year.

I'll be putting mine in the same spot, just attached to the caliraised panel.

I was too cheap for the panel. I looked at the Rago one too but the top piece is really what I wanted which "doesn't work" with manual. Just didn't want to take the chance of smashing my hand on it.

Hey, you didn't do either of those things :p

I took the truck to work for the 2nd day in a row (work moving locations, moving stuff) and I got to haul this HUGE painting I spent a month on. Mildly terrifying.

Welcome to the build that's all hype and no build! The waiting area is over there, don't mind the cobwebs. I'm sure someone can scoot over.

Did the 150k maintenance 2 weeks ago Thursday I think? So Engine Oil and Both diffs and the transfer case gear oil.

Did the rear brakes a couple weeks back, did front brakes Sunday. Power Stop all around.
Truck stops pretty good, but the pedal is soft. Need to get back under and have @gasparic104 in the cockpit to pump the brakes while I crawl around and bleed everything. Probably wouldn't hurt to bleed all the old dark fluid out while we're at it. All this nice new DOT 3 is so clean looking I realized my brake fluid is a bit dirty... and by a bit, I mean it's almost black.
