Im thinking the answer is the master cylinder to the slave cylinder is bad. Changed out slave cylinder but I cant get the slave cylinder to build pressure. After bleeding slave about 4 times it would start moving the rod attached to bell housing. Then I would lose that little bit of movement and basically start over. We tried this maybe 40 times before i gave up. Should i replace the master cylinder?

How can i test the reservoir to the slace cylinder?

Just to be clear, the master cylinder is at the pedal, slave cylinder is down at the transmission

The only way a slave cylinder can fail is to leak. If its not leaking it's fine

Master cylinder can fail internally and lose pressure intermittently. Have you looked under the dash for brake fluid dripping down from the pushrod?

Yes we are clear on the parts in question. I haven’t looked under the dash for brake fluid but I will. That will show if its an external leak. How do I check for a internal leak?

It's a bastard to bleed, its just how it is.

What I do is while someone is pumping I put pressure on the slave to help it build pressure and clear air faster.

Ideally you should change the master and slave together, if one seal has failed they all fail really.

Got all the slave cylinder parts in. I have a question? In the photo is the new parts but I have no idea where the bracket goes or what it bolts to?
Any idea and on the small metal line that goes to slave cylinder, does the rubber protective hose on the metal tube go to slave cylinder or opposite of slave cylinder. I had generic parts on before and these are OEM so nothing to reference it to.
My photo shows protective rubber end going to slave cylinder
