If anyone's in, I'll probably be going to the PCMR opening day this Sunday.

I’m out with a janky ankle (jankle?). I’ve learned Mid-40’s and doing bike park laps in the wind with the kids has consequences.

Was planning on crest tomorrow, but 98* and windy AF sounds like :poking:
    Saturday’s not much better.
Both look good if you can get done before noon though.

In other news, Crest was rad as usual. Few snow drifts and a few mud pulles to ride gingerly though but Id say 98% G2G.

Buddy took a massive tumble off that rock roll with the shark fins after the spine, tumbled down the rocky slope for about 40 feet and cracked his helmet in half, but he lived. Always an interesting ride.

I got up and around Flagstaff Loop and Boulder yesterday. No snow or mud at all. So it seems we're fully good to go now! Here's hoping some of these storms will keep the moon dust at bay for a little longer...

I went to opening day at Deer Valley to celebrate my 50th birthday. I have to say that I was unimpressed. :anonymous:

None of the "Scan & Go" stations worked, so even if you bought a ticket online, you still had to wait in line to get a pass (I waited for 20 minutes). I know it's opening day, but this is a "world-class resort" that has made it through many opening days. There definitely was not a lack of staff, either.

Except for upper Tidal Wave (above the meadow) and lower Twist & Shout, I don't think a single bit of maintenance has been done to any trail up there. The lips on Tidal Wave look exactly the same as 2 years ago (and that wasn't great). There's a lot of trails that don't really need work and those were still fun (Twist & Shout, Fireswamp, Aspen Slalom, etc.). I can't understand why DV doesn't think their flow trails and jump trails (probably the most popular and most used) need maintenance? It is truly baffling.

I'm glad I bought the PCMR summer pass this year. I think I will just climb over to DV from PCMR in the future...I can't justify paying to ride there anymore. Rant over.

It sounds like most of you got out somewhere this weekend. That wind was brutal!

I will say that the rebuild of Rush is pretty dang fun. I rode that yesterday and had a blast. Check it out before it's blown out!!

New Rush is so good! Rode it yesterday as well and its running really well. Love that they bermed out some of the dicey flat corners to keep you from sending it into the scenery once it gets all dusty.
