jeeeeeez......these guys are such total dweebs. Who calls a sleeping bag a “sleep system”, that is part of a “load-out”, to go camping????

‘Revenge of the nerds’ is a thing. Way too much time breastfeeding for these guys. Probably on the tit until they were 14.

You can charge a lot more money for a "sleep system" than you can for a sleeping bag.

Plus it just sounds like it's chock full of Broverlander cred.

Didn’t watch the video...were they military guys? Sleep system is what the Army calls its five piece sleeping bags/bivy cover combos, load out is another common use term as well.

For sure, but a weekend camping isn’t the invasion of Iraq.

How do we know the economic bubble has come full circle? Sleep systems! Hey at least this time they won't have to shack up with grandma Cheryl when they lose their house.

I would agree with you, that on some level, the whole “overlanding” craze, which is mostly about selling people crap they really don’t need, is a symptom of something economical. The fact people can afford to keep buying new bolt-on gizmos to replace the bolt-on gizmos they bought last month, to match the latest truck fashions, would be unfathomable to people a few generations back. Louis CK summed it up best in this piece:
