You lost me for a second. Haha. Yeah I have the 5ft bed. Also I am 5'7 so my short stature comes in handy for once. :)

Thanks for the input. I bought a 2011 double cab, long bed last weekend so stretching out won't be a problem for me. Now it's time to pick some tires, upgrade the suspension, and find a topper.

Made of the same material as a standard tent, it uses bungicords to hold it on, wind and rain have not been any issue so far. I tuck it in around the rear bumper to keep it sealed and have a carpet inside that I pull back over the tail gate to block off any wind getting in that way. I love this thing, gives the feel of a tent and the off the ground sleeping I want! Got a nice set of air beds at REI that fit great!

That would probably kick ass for any of our 4Runner brethren as well.

The rear window holds it up, fits nice and snug, then the rest of the top goes over the shell and two bungees run down the side an attach under the truck to hold it snug, then I wrap the sides up between the bumper and bed and it seals up well. I am very pleased with it. My trip to Big Sur last week I let my mom sleep in the truck while my GF and I used the tent, she loved it! I looked on Amazon and they do not have it in stock, but if you can find one, get one! It goes on and off in less then five minutes and folds up into a small bag which I leave in the truck! I am going camping again over the Memorial Day weekend, so I will try and get more photos of my setup! The more you use it, the easier it is to get it setup and fit the way you want. The photo in the driveway was the first day I got it, but as I have used it, got it to fit just right!

You are very welcome! I am sure you can get it to work!

This is the air pad I have, two fit snug and kind of overlap, but it works and they are very comfortable: http://www.rei.com/product/845301/rei-incamp-insulated-air-sleeping-pad

It has never leaked and inflates in about a minute with the built in pump in the pillow end, not cheap, but works great! Happy Camping!
