    Hello all,

I have seen a few threads on this topic. Not much info, just a lot of opinions. I am more curious on the how to sleep in passenger seat versus is it comfortable? I don’t expect it to feel like a bed, but I am trying to make it work. I am only 5’8 (on a good day, more like 5’7 1/2). I am trying to save a little money on a road trip. Stopping at a rest area to sleep. Let me know your ideas and if you can provide any info. Thanks!

Terrible for the back if you plan to keep driving.

You need a good sleep, either sleep in the bed with a sleeping bag, or get a scuzzy motel.

I looked up reviews, I plan on sleeping at Texarkana Arkansas Rest Stop. It has a lot of good reviews. I would sleep at most 6-7 hours and be on my way.

You think it’d be that uncomfortable? I mean honestly?

Terrible. Well maybe. Some people sleep well in a fixed position on their back. Not me.

I just said screw it and got a hotel. I sleep on my stomach so that may not be such a good idea.

Your welcome. Maybe try a car camping night sometime when you don’t need the rest for safety. Then you’ll know for sure.

If you have a canopy (camper shell/topper) I sleep better in mine than I do at home.

KOA cabins are a cheap alternative that gives you access to a shower. We’ve used them a lot.
I’ve also spent several nights rolled out in a bivy sack right next to my truck… YMMV

Haven’t really needed it. Been thinking sunroof or sliding canvas roof for 12 years, now
