They're very sensitive and can still go off without battery power.

Ooooooh, is it pricey? I need to replace the esx server that died when I moved. Lil bugger ran for about 8 years or so. Had a good life.

Thats the link to it. I get NFR products from RedHat because of our connection with them. It's a pretty beefy little thing and when it shows up today I'll take a picture of it for you.

Dude thats pretty bad ass! I need something to act as my plex and utility server. gonna want to put docker on it and run all the containers on it so I can retire these 2 really old, atom cpu based "minipcs" i been using for years. Docker has made these underpowered devices useful again to me and they in fact run all the things here at home... pretty neat.

storage is on a synology with drives that have been running for 8 year! LOL.... luckily its all backed up on the cloud hahaha

It's a beefy little box and with the i7 I won't have to worry about it going outdated like those atoms for a while ;)

Have you tried switching to K8s and let it manage docker for you? It's really going to be the next big thing for not only cloud but bare metal too. VMware and everyone else is starting to go all in on containers and K8s.

8 years on a Synology system  that's pretty impressive! Any drive failures over the years? I need to get a Synology setup going but I'm cheap

No drive failures or even bad sectors. These WD drives were meant for pvr systems for security cams but they been running great for me :)

I have barely scratched the surface on k8s... havent had the time but since im done with the studying for the aws sa pro cert, i plan to spend some time when i get some new hardware.

I used this guide for the home setup so havent gone off this path much yet:

Wow that's really impressive you haven't even gotten a bad sector  those drive have to be tougher than anything.

I would definitely look into K8s. Udemy has some really good courses for the CKA, CKAD and intro to containers. I've been doing K8s for a couple years and I have to say it's pretty dope out of the box but if you really want an all-inclusive product look at openshift. They have a upstream version call OKD I would test out or use minishift. Your team would definitely love it if they decided to go cloud native too. Let me know if you want guidance or a point in the right direction and I can help. That's what they pay me to do anyway :D

Morning! Plans are first to get the tune dialed in for daily then it's off to the dyno tune to max this bish out. After that it'll be maybe little things until I pay off all my debt and then save for a LT kit and maybe a Kibbe Tech short track 3 link kit. I eventually want to make it a luxury prerunner with 4wd so it'll get a full cage in the cab and the back half of the bed.

At least thats what I want to do :anonymous:
