Changed the pcv valve to the "brown" one and wow what a difference! Smoke is gone and seems to be running better! Man who would've thought a $10 part would give me all this trouble. Kudos to Ryan for figuring it out with me. All that's left is to swap out the bov spring with a heavier one and wire the second pump. After that the truck will be 100% mechanical wise.

Having gone thru all of the issues with your truck, would you still recommend the shop you had build your motor? I am trying to find a good place to have my 2TR built.

The engine builder I would definitely recommend and he's in NJ. The shop in Dallas that did the swap I would not.

Did some datalogs today and sent them to the tuner so let's see if we get a better tune this time boost was flattened out to help with the boost spikes so once I get the heavier spring for the bov I should be good to turn it up

 

Couple more weeks and you'll be 100%.

I sure hope so. I think the new BOV spring and second pump will make it run perfect than just dialing in the tune. The funny thing is we're still trying to find our base line. We just smoothed out the boost so now we're ready to turn things up. We have just started to learn to crawl and I love it

 

Which turbos again? Are the BOV integrated?

 

EFR 7163's and bov are not integrated. It's a single bov off the intercooler piping and is based on vacuum

 

Gotcha. I think that is the same size my friend wants for his BRZ that he is building.

Had to upgrade the springs in my TiAl years ago, as well as in my EFR.

A few hundred dollars. It wasn't bad at all. I would give him a call and ask for a quote. He pretty good at listening to what you want and what you plan to do. He can work out shipping and everything else in the quote. Ryan is a good dude and his work is top class
