Your starting to sound line @BassAckwards.

Next thing we hear is that you are no longer 4x4 capable.

Hey stranger danger. Long time no see. You get Cornoa virus yet?

Only way the 4x4 stops working is when I implode the transfer case

See you finally got the hot wheels going.
No virus here...that I know of.

4 wheel burnouts will put it to the test.

Yea it finally started. Wasn't the nicest way to get here but so far we're here. Just need to increase the fuel pressure regulator when the tuner tells me too and change the drain lines on the turbos

Knowing you, you probably already have it

Just did a datalog pull and made 72.55#/min. Still bogs down at WOT and fuel cuts off so more tuning is needed. Once I get a clean run this thing will be mean.

Doubt it is the same as yours, but mine would bog down at full throttle. Partial it felt like it had more power. AFR's all good regardless, so it wasn't a rich related bog. Turned out that the throttle body was opening too much can effectively closing. Since it was going past 100%.

I sent that over to the tuner to see what he thinks. I'll take anything right now that could help tune this thing.

Adjusted the fuel pressure regulator to 80-84psi. It's feeling quicker and quicker with every tweak I do. Talked with the tuner and the puffs sounds like knock and the throttle is at 82degrees which is 100% open. Could be hitting the clips and closing but he's looking into it. He thinks the throttle is closing to limit torque. The updated tune will have the torque sources back to stock numbers and see from there

Ok so we weny back to the drawing board. Engine builder and tuner were not happy with the amount of knock that was coming from the engine and not happy with how we were controlling the boost. Our biggest issue was the wastegates. We had some misinformation going back and forth and finally realized the wgs were the EFR medium boost wgs. It was preloaded to 7+mm and was horrible for the boost solenoid. I brought them down to 2mm of preload and using a mityvac I was able to test the wgs and they're using 13psi to crack open the wastegates. Everyone is happy with that and we loaded a tune that backed off everything. Using this as our new base I datalogged the truck and sent it over to the tuner.

This should move us in the right direction now and not worry about the damage the knock could've caused if not controlled. I have to say with everything pulled out the truck does pull and feel better but we're just getting started. I will need to start looking at maybe new turbo blankets as the ones on there now were cut up and causes the threads to smolder. I am working out ideas with the engine builder on replacements.

    Made some good progress.

    Be gone knock!

Why are the heat shields torn/cut? Out of necessity?

Yea really happy with the progress over the last couple days. Pushing too much power that wasn't controlled and could've been worse if I wasn't careful.

Not really sure why they were cut up but I'd assume to access the wgs easier for the shop. Seems silly because you destroy the blankets and run into this issue. Just figured I'd be ok with it :notsure:

Yupp and those blankets for before from what I understand. So new blankets will be the winner. Engine builder said he found a really nice set thats black and fits the turbos the best. Will get more info shortly
