So managed to fix the drains but the driver's side hose is all frayed making the fitting hard to stay on. I ordered on some cable cutters that should be here tomorrow so I can cut the hose and set it right. Passenger side is perfect now so no more fiddling with that. I smoke on an off now which is promising but I think it's because of that driver drain being wonky.

My Raceport is showing up today and I already have the elbow from full race. That should be an easy install and then it's a matter of seeing if the smoke will clear. Everyone cross your fingers the turbo isn't jacked and needs to be rebuilt.

So the Turbosmart Raceport showed up and I got it ready to go on the new elbow. Should be a simple swap for tomorrow if I don't get to it today.

Worked with a lot of Braided Line. What you need is a Beverly Sheer. I got one but there pricey & unless you do a lot of line, really not worth the cost. Second best in a pinch was electrical taped tight. Good vice & very fine blade hacksaw. Then be real careful gettin’ off the tape. Some fittings aren’t reusable so I’d check that too. Oil of any kind & a Hot Turbo just don’t mix too good. Looks like you almost got ‘er wrapped up.

Oh, & make damn sure the line is free of all debris.

I've seen people use big wire cutters and that seems to work well for these lines. Even doing the tape or zip tie trick would help. The fitting are in fact reusable which is nice. Hopefully I get this drain fixed and no more surprises

I swapped the bov and elbow just now and noticed oil in the piping. I wonder if that's accounting to some smoke. ‍♂️

I am a poor guy, so had to be extra resourceful. Wire cutters, until I upgraded to a thin cut-off wheel on the grinder. :sawzall:

Yupp that's why I'm gonna head to home depot and buy some wire cutters. Gonna try and fix this thing today and then that'll be my last thing to do on truck besides tune it

Fixed the driver's oil drain. The wire cutters wouldn't touch the steel line but luckily I had a dremel and cut off wheel. Should've done that from the start ‍

Fitting is now on correctly and the drain is routed probably the best it's been. Completely off the manifolds and the steering column now.

Before because I thought it was PTFE line.

I think this was all in vain because the center section is screwed. Got home after getting dinner and saw smoke under the hood. Popped it and the bottom bolts for the centre section came loose and I saw oil oozing out and then it ignited. Luckily I was able to blow it out instantly but I think I need a new center section

Called Full Race and they're gonna try and ship the turbo today and overnight it for me. Trying to get back up and going by tomorrow. :anonymous:

New turbo should be here by tomorrow. Looking at the old one I am not sure if it's bad. The wheel is off balance ever so slightly and you really have to look for it. Doesn't seem like there's a way to tell without sending to Borg Warner to assess. I can hear the bearings rubbing in there so I think it's toast

Well finally bit the bullet and replaced the passenger turbo after letting it sit in the box for a week. I can safely say for now there's 0 smoke. Still skeptical of course but we're making progress.

When I took the old turbo out today you can clearly hear the bearings are shot. Went to go back and check again and there's no sound and they sound fine. Went to put the new turbo in and saw oil from the exhaust housing and knew that the old one was pooched. Kinda crappy that the turbo has been blown since day one and no one seemed to want to warranty it for me while they had it. Could have saved me $1800 for a new super core. You know what they say fool me once shame on me, fool me twice go **** yourself

I will drive it for 500 miles and see how it does and then Boostking and I will keep tuning. After I have this truck dialed in it's going to be very hard keeping it and not wanting to get rid of it. I am looking at a 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor if I do end up ditching the truck. I'll need at least $35k to make it work.

New Super core will be here tomorrow thanks to Full Race for the second time in a row. They have been awesome getting me what I need to get this back up and running. Once I get the super core in I'll drive for about a week and then @Boostking and I will keep tuning. Unless I can find a buyer before that. We'll see what happens.
