I had to work last weekend, and was bummed I was gonna miss the trip. I'm sure you guys felt the same who were planning on going but got dumped on by Mother Nature instead. So here's the retribution trip!

JohnboyTRD and I were talking about going up the 8th (fri), running the trail the 9th, then driving home. Neither of us can camp Saturday night. After he threw a feeler, we got some more interest. Post up here if you can go!! We were debating slick rock or niagara rim, sounds like slick rock is the winner. If the group would rather run niagara, I'm game to switch it up. My understanding is that niagara is a bit more challenging than slick rock (but I haven't done either).

    CARAVAN (Friday)

JohnboyTRD and I are are meeting at the In n Out in Pleasanton at 2pm on Friday. 6015 Johnson Dr.

    CAMP SPOT

I believe you just start down the trail, and look for a group of badass tacomas parked. Will update with better info.

    TRAIL RUN (Saturday)

Plan on starting the trail at 9am. CB channel 16. If any of you guys are HAM, post up your frequency.

    FOOD

    Everyone on their own?

    Going:
    BudMan (Bret)
    JohnboyTRD (John)
    Younglexx (Alex)
    916TacoTruck (Mike)
    MJonAgs32 (MJ) - maybe

Warning- my wife and 1 yr old will be along. It will be his first overnight trip. I apologize if you hear a lot of crying, screaming, and yelling at night. And the baby might cry, too

Disclaimer #2 - I don't plan on setting any speed records on the trail. No skids behind my ifs one... I like to look at lines first

We'll figure out caravan details as more people confirm, but I think John and I can leave by around 1 on Friday afternoon

That's why I can't camp Saturday night. Try as I might, my wife doesn't want to spend her first Mothers Day camping/wheeling . She went into labor the day after Mother's Day last year

She was all set for the weekend, but there is a Mothers Day street fair that she's been planning on the whole last year. Then realized it was the same date. Her love of camping and wheeling saved the trip for me!

I would say starting the trail by 10 am, maybe 9. If we're all driving home sat, it seems best to run the trail relatively early...
