The wife and I enjoy being out camping and atving. I recently picked up a truck cap as my tent was due to be replaced. After several nights we both agreed its a much better set up. Now the cap I picked up was off a Nissan, it was more of a test cap then anything. I was browsing the local for sale adds for a nice color matched Tacoma cap. The price used seems to be just shy of $1000 for a quality LEER or ARE. Then I stumbled upon a few slide in campers for $1500-$2000. But before going this route I want to know if the Tacoma is capable of and what the weight.

Does anyone have a slide in camper and could give me some insight. The camper would be on the truck while towing a 2000 pound trailer as well.
