Hey SOS, any chance of making a mini kick out towards the front? I think the option might be needed on our raised tacos. Especially trying to reach the windshield. Just a thought.

Anyone have the Trail Gear sliders on a DCLB? Looking to get some on before Jambo this year. I have used the search and am unable to bring anything up...

After looking through all this it has complicated the decision all look to be good choices. I have been partial to Rocky Roads since I have run them through the gauntlet before. My biggest struggle is I'm impatient and some of the lead times which has me favoring the RR or All-pro based off of availability. Input?

Going to beat a dead horse and before I get the patent search function reply I have searched and read many of post. It more so comes down to my impatience. Sliders, recommendations and is there anything local for us PA folk to potentially save the shipping costs that you have seen and tested? I've looked at the Relentless and BAMF but not sure I can wait 12 weeks. I'll be posting a similar post in the armour thread as well. I did hear Mobbtown in MD so far. The other thing I have in mind is trying to stay with the same fab shop as I continue to build going forward, skids possibly bumpers. Hopefully this doesn't cause me to miss out on a better option but I like building those relationships and some loyalty with a vendor to turn to.

I am in the same situation as you. I live in Ohio. I am starting with sliders, then skid plates, lastly bumpers and the shipping on these items from the west coast and wait times suck.

Their website doesn't list Tacoma (or any Toyota for that matter) products.

Not sure if anyone covered this yet but what is the consensus on installing bolt on sliders on an under coated frame?

My truck was coated from the dealer and I have the all pro hd sliders coming in soon. Want to know if the undercoat affects the install or performance ? Also what is the best method to drill the frame?

Thanks and sorry if this was already answered

I don't think undercoating should pose a problem and it may even be advantage. I cleaned, scuffed, and applied a fresh coat of chassis black to my frame to help prevent rust. As long as the undercoating is clean and sound it may better since it may could act as a friction reducing "gasket" that prevents the paint from wearing away as the surfaces vibrate against each other. That's my completely uneducated and possibly misguided theory.

As far as drilling goes just use a good quality bit, a bit of cutting oil, and go slow with plenty of pressure. I used a fairly expensive cobalt bit and a Dewalt black oxide HSS bit and they both worked equally as well. Both were 135 degree. After I drilled the holes I sprayed them with brake cleaner to remove cutting oil then touched them up with three coats of chassis black.
