If only...I've called a dozen times & have an inbox full of emails. Coincidentally though, the day I posted here I got a call saying they're shipping and then got an email with the tracking info. So they should be delivered today, I'll get them welded on tomorrow, then have pics tomorrow night. :fingerscrossed:

Hey all I'm just getting into the slider game and my main???? is why bolt ons over weld ons I mean there's no stronger connection than welding so why would people want bolt ons in stead of weld ons other than the obvious that everyone can tighten bolts but not everyone can weld. Is there any other reasons anyone can enlighten me on maybe such as warranty being affected??

One reason is you can take them off to sand & repaint them. That's why my last truck has bolt-ons, but it wasn't worth it to me and I welded them on my current truck.

Or unbolt them to sell when you sell the truck.

I'm shopping around for some bolt-ons for my regular cab. I don't plan on off-roading too much, but using the hi-lift jack with them does sound nice. Does anybody use their bolt-ons primarily for lifting purposes, and if so how's the flexion?

Only reason to go bolt-on over weld-on is if you intend to take them off someday or think you may have to. From a strength (and I guess reliability standpoint), weld on is better.

That said, unless you do crazy rock crawling I don't think any of us really encounter situations where bolt ons may be compromised. But I like the peace of mind of knowing they are as stout as can be. And if they ever "had" to come off, they can always be cut off.

Any reviews of RCI products? They are near me so I would like to support them but only if their products are top notch. They sure look good.

What are the best sliders out there that will keep other doors and cars off my truck?
I am trying to avoid something like this happening again once I get my door fixed. I know sliders probably would not have done that much to protect that. But at least it would have put some damage on the other guys car since he just left.

Sorry man, that sucks. That's another thing I like about my Rock Crushers - they stick out and block door dings & crap like that. See post 348 above.

Awesome! Works well for front doors. Rear doors that are cut to go around rear wheel wells can still hit. :annoyed: Be careful out there!

Well you're in luck. In 7-10 business days I'll have my allpro's delivered. Then, pictures.
