    Hey guys,
I'm looking at getting sliders for my truck but was wondering if it is anyuse getting them lineX'd or just painting? I know lineX is tough as shit but not sure how it would fair after a few trails or if I should just paint them and make touching them up easier. I've seen guys line X the front bumper but nothing on the sliders. Any insight would be great thanks guys

I would never use any rubber type product on sliders or bumpers.

when it gets penetrated by a rock it won't flake off or bubble like paint and it will start rusting under the coating and you'll have no idea.

if those guys you know ever go to repaint their front bumpers they will not be happy when they see all the rust that grew under it from the rock strikes.

I'd never use bedliner of any kind on sliders

    I rattle-canned my sliders.

I was going to Line-X them but to spend $200+ on the process and gas (place is about 45 min away) could not be justified. Also the easy of touching up a spot here or there makes it really easy with a rattle can. Just wiped them down with wax and grease remover, "primed" with self etching primer then painted 3-4 coats of black. I keep a few cans handy for touch ups.

Local guy here Line-X'd his front bumper, went to Moab and slammed down pretty good on his bumper near where it meets the IFS skid and has a huge chunk of Line-X missing and it has been rusting under there like XXXX said. Was going to Line-X my bumper when I get it but not anymore. Rattle can FTW
