Sliders flexing

    Last weekend was probably the first real challenge to the Caliraised trail sliders I installed a few months ago. I was pretty surprised to see them flex into the body like this. I'll have to measure the actual distance later.

    Is this normal for bolt on sliders?

    Yes. That actually is somewhat normal. It isn’t the sliders themselves flexing. As long as they’re were installed correctly they are pretty rigid against the frame. The cab itself can flex on the body bushings 3/4” or more- especially if you put the truck under torsional load off road. Toyota frames were designed to flex so it looks like those sliders are just a bit too tight to the pinch weld and that’s why you have contact. It wouldn’t concern me too much. Just hit it with spray paint and keep on truckin.
