Sliders hitting pinch weld (Need Help!)

    To me this seems a bit like cutting off your arms to better fit a shirt where the sleeves are a bit short. YOLO I guess.

    Most slider manufacturers warn that pinch weld trimming may be necessary.
    The AllPro bolt ons on my Tacoma came with that warning, I did not have to trim.

    The Stubb's Welding weld ons on my 87 did contact the cab, even with poly cab bushings (basically a 1/2" body lift). I just marked where the legs are the sliders would land, cut and folded the pinch weld over in those spots and hit the area with some seam sealer. Has never been an issue in the 10 years they have been on there.

    It’s your 40k truck my man. I won’t be chewing any part of my truck up like what you have in your pic. Maybe the ocd in me doesn’t like the squared cutout for a round bar...especially one that is over it and off center. You do you though.

    you can even see it unless you drop down and look under the doors. you're probably afraid to even take yours off pavement though. you do you though
