I’ll give it a shot. Garage is full of remodel stuff for my house. If I get a little warmer weather I’ll do it in the driveway.

Curious how you figure? My bolt-on BAMF sliders weigh 100-110lbs total as a pair. That would mean their weld on version is 20-30lbs...? Highly doubt it

Sorry - the heaviest configuration for them is the DCLB w/ kickout, fill plates, and bolt on. All of that is clocking nearly 200 lbs total and that is coming from @JLee himself

I see, I don't have the fill plates...man those plates add that much weight? I am DCLB, kickout and bolt-on. There is no way they weigh 100lbs per piece because i carried one in each hand

Yah, sorry I should have clarified...with all added options I think each are about 80 +/- some. All I know is after adding steel skids and sliders I am def feeling the weight.

Are you OVTUned? My truck actually feels lighter with OVTune. It is amazing how much more power, acceleration and straight up fun the truck is being tuned...the right way

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
DCLB bolt on with fill plates are 90lbs per side the fill plates add 11.6lbs to each side.

Wow, for a 140lb guy I must be getting stronger, they certainly don't feel 90lbs per side

Another vote for weld-on. I've run both over the years and the bolt-ons were much more of a pain than they were worth.

Just for informational purposes, I just chatted with them about posts 7-10 on here. They said these are definitely off road sliders, they've been doing this for 23 years, they offer a lifetime warranty. They also advise against ever welding onto your frame. Voids warranty with Toyota, whatever could bend a bolt could rip or bend a frame, and if you do bend a bolt you can just replace the bolt. I had to ask them because their website says they are the strongest sliders on the market, but then on here we are seeing these are steps not sliders.

They have 2 legs. Most sliders have 4. Could just be the photos, but that steel doesn't look very beefy at all. I seriously doubt they are the strongest on the market. Just go with any of the TW vendors as they are tested and proven.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

They are by far the poorest designed slider mounting on the market. I seen them in action and they are the worst I've ever seen. They need to stick to uni body vehicles bolting sliders to the fame and the body of the truck on a Tacoma is such a bad idea. Two 1" square tube legs connecting and a rib that you bolt to the lower pinch weld no thanks! Those sliders are bound to destroy the body of the truck if used for their intended purpose most of the forces are placed on the pinch weld of the body.

There are far better sliders out there and they truly bolt on without drilling holes. Any vendor on TW makes a better and stronger product.

Just from a customer's perspective it's crazy to see them saying they are the best and strongest, and you are saying they are by far the worst, know what I mean? I've never seen pictures to really understand their drilling into the pinch weld. I'll take your advice and stay away then because your product does look a lot more stout.

I'm getting bolt-ons this weekend. I chose bolt on over welded simply because I can remove them if I ever want or need to for whatever reason. Sure, they may not be *as* strong, but they can still support the weight of the truck, and can easily take any of the abuse I'm going to put them through.

If I ever decide I want to permanently attach them I can have that done later.

So bolt-on it is for me.

    There's a place place for both weld on's and bolt on's ..
I chose mobtown bolt on's as they ARE the strongest available in a bolt on slider and fit my needs very well. Check them out, you can lift the wheels off the ground by the slider itself.
Do a little research and choose what's best for you.
For me I like to get the best I can in my budget range and didn't want to skimp on sliders.
