Definitely more bolt-on compared to others (Mob Town excluded)... but this....

"Once all your 1/2" bolts are in place install the 3/8th bolt into the very rear lower hole with a nut and washer on both sides.
(NOTE) the driver side is very tight so going in from the front of the tank with your hand is the best way to do it. You may need someone with small hands to help out. We have also noticed on the 18 and 19 models the frame has mutable stacked sheets stacked on top is not in line with each other preventing the bolt from passing through the hole. Drilling may be required to make that bolt fit. "

I just installed hoop steps. Check out this thread. Install pictures included.

I personally prefer the look of steps to a big ass running board or nerf bar. lower profile, coooler looking (IMHO) & doesn't affect the overall design of the truck nearly as much. Didn't lose any ground clearance. Doesn't protect you from rocks, but i dont really offroad. Had to drill into the pinch weld but otherwise was cheap and easy.

I put these Warrior 4720 bolt on steps on my black 2016 Taco three years ago. The paint got a little faded over time. I used black gloss Krylon 8 minute spray paint (3 light coats) before installing on my white 2019. Steps look better than new. Easy install.20190531_120545.jpg 20190606_093133.jpg 20190606_093038.jpg

Will also vouch for BAMF. They are only a few minutes from where I live. They're beefy as hell and @JLee is a good dude. Be careful because you'll end up buying grills, skids, and bed racks from him as well.
