Keep in mind that shipping charges for sliders is a bitch. I would be looking at west coast fabricators unless you just have money to burn.

SOS Concepts proven protection. Someone in the Wally World parking lot decided to drag their front quarter panel along the passenger slider. I almost felt sorry for them.

Thanks for the all the responses. Sounds like I’m going to paint them myself. And shipping is always the tough part...

8 feet long, rattle can paint, skateboard grip tape to get in bed. Doors can still hit, they’re curved, they’ll hit you trucks painted surfaces.

Stubbs makes some nice stuff, have their deluxe sliders on my 87 and have been 100% happy with them.
If your truck is tall enough, just about any slider will protect it. Watched some idiot put a really nice C shaped ding on the leading edge of their door after they tossed it open into the side of my truck.

Other truck has (came with) Allpro HD boltons on it. They seem pretty solid, I have yet to used them on rocks (or in mall parking lots).

All the major manufacturers make sliders that bolt to the frame. SOS, Mobtown, BAMF, All Pro, etc

No joke, I was waiting for Chinese food one time when this young guy squeezed in tight beside me. He flung his Cadillac door open and I could feel it hit the slider. He looked at his door all dented and he was mad I just laughed

My mobtown sliders royally messed up a dude's door and saved mine from getting wholesale caved in a while ago in my apt complex. But a lot of rear car doors (where the kids come out) are curved around wheel wells these days and could overshoot your sliders so unless you are rockin slat armor, I don't think you'd be too much better off. I still have a few at the mold line because of that.

Yes, they do. When my son is getting in/out of any of our vehicles and it's close I always hold the door so it doesn't hit.
Funny how some other people just pull in close and kick it open....

Bolt on sliders are a dime a dozen now. I was researching for weeks before I pulled the trigger on some White Knuckle sliders. Some require drilling to get the most secure installation but many of them just bolt to the existing factory holes in the stock frame rail.

Richie's garage floor is cleaner than my kitchen table.

Even with full sliders, I park 400 feet away wherever I go. More time to appreciate it as you walk away....

Dime a dozen in terms of how many people make them sure. But let's talk about the actual price of sliders the last couple years.... it seems like they've doubled. Wasn't that long ago you'd see $200 - $300, maybe up to $400 for a premium name. Now I see $700 - $1,000 sliders the norm. 3 years ago I bought sliders and they were $240 + $140 for bolt on = $380 total. I just checked the vendor I bought from and the same set is $675.

From my research 700-1000 is definitely the norm. Some advertise at the 500, but when you actually price them out with things you they end up in that 700-1000 range. There is a lot more competition and you would think that would drive the prices down but the cost of materials is higher. There are numerous respected fabricators out there making bolt on sliders, Mobtown, allpro, Avis, rci, rsg, and white knuckle off-road
