A lot. Check out my build page.
I am about to buy the sliders for my 2014 DCSB TRD OR.

Looking for experience (NOT OPINION IF YOU'VE NEVER USED ONE OR THE OTHER)......

In your EXPERIENCE....what are the things to consider with bolt on vs weld on sliders?

What are the pros and cons of each?

    Thanks fellow TW'ers!

Weld - on Pros (stronger). Cons (voids truck frame warranty, cant take them off)

Bolt on pros (can take them off, easy install, doesn't void warranty). Cons (weaker)

Yup been very happy with my SOS concepts sliders. The HUGE frame plate actually stiffened up the frame of my truck some, and granted i have not used them for a hard hit but i have no doubt they would be able to take the hit.

I currently have weld on sliders and there is no doubt that they're extremely strong. That being said, now that the paint is starting to wear off and I'm thinking about repainting them I really wish I had bolt on's. From what I've read the bolt on sliders are strong enough for most of us.

Just get All-Pro APEX sliders and get weld-on performance in a bolt-on package. /thread

Tempting. I am looking for a set with NO top plate, with a kick out, powder coated or Line-X coating, for my double cab short bed. Budget was $600. Any options/group buys/discounts to get me there?

I have weld ons an wish I would have gone with the bolt on option, I've painted mine 2 times in maybe 6 months. They are a pain in the ass an I wish I could take them off paint them then bolt back on.

If u choose bolt on it may limit what skids u you can use. I have CBI bolt on sliders and most skids have an interference issue with the slider brackets.

I have the relentless weld-ons. they look great and I have not really noticed the need to re-paint them yet. honestly, for the amount of work to remove, paint and re-install, you could mask off and paint in place. its not rocket science, just some time and patience. the biggest issue for me was the cost difference (about $400) and that made the choice between the two easy

Man I wish I had a discount code when I put in an order for my relentless sliders. Could've saved some money to put toward shipping to Hawaii

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I have SOS bolt on. I would highly recommend them. @EddyRRT does good work.

I've used my Hi-lift on them to change a tire, and have been pulled off of rocks after being hicentered. I've scraped on rocks, used the kickouts to make those sharp turns, and they still are there. Only with a few scraped. The best thing, just touch them up with a little black spray paint when you need to. Plus, they angle on them works great for a step, just be sure to add some grip tape to the bar where you would potentially put your foot.

I have the bamf bolt one with the kickout. One of the first sets he did really. After drilling 6 holes with a corded drill and painting them the install on and off is a breeze. Also anything from bamf is built to take a beating I mean his IFS skid is 90lbs and 1/4inch steel

Bolt-on sliders are enough for me since I don't do extreme off-roading, and I can remove them easily if I need to paint them.

Scott - Take a look at Demello bolt-ons. I think they'll even be in your price range - and they are great to deal with.
