Pretty common sense to me, but common sense is not so common.

All these shops should post what the final weight (without paint or powder coat of course) is of all the variations they offer. I'm sure that differs immensely and I'm conscious of my weight lol

You want him to share data his company and himself done on their dime so that others could look at it free to them and better their product as well. If that were the case Mobtown would be giving up data that has helped better their system.

A magician never reveals how he performs the trick, but does reveal the final product so to speak.

Not sure I'd group this with magic. It's pretty basic engineering (statics and mechanics of materials). Just required considering the concerns and how to address them in a functional way.

The additional engineering is a result of analysis done that is exposed in the marketed unique design and mounting features.

Like everything else in the world...

It's a very interesting clamp mounting design for the Mobtown. I haven't had a chance to truly test out my AP HD sliders (not going to purposely drop the truck on a rock though), but they had some drilling to do (5 per side including underside of the frame rail) but they look to be extremely well built as I expected from AP.

The thread you quoted is nearly 10 years old. PLENTY of people have run APs without issue. The set I received had good welding - no extra slag, welds penetrated well, no burn through, etc.

There can be issues with any product - doesn't mean 100% of the products that come out are bad though.

I've done a mod or two
Those guys are great aren't they? One of the only reasons I'd bother with going to Issaquah. FWIW I have a first gen but my 4X Innovations sliders are welded on and are probably stronger than the rest of the truck.

Our system was designed to avoid the need to drill. If you are cool with drilling some holes (the ones on the underside are the most important) than you should be good to go.
