The same shit everyone else has.
Ive removed the back seats in my access cab and build a platform to replace it.

It’s functional but I’d like to make it more functional.

    Searched around. Didn’t find much.

I’ve seen people mount fridges in the back seat of their truck with sliding platforms. I wanna do something similar but without the fridge.

Had anyone done this? Or have any decent pictures of it? Looking for inspiration.

I have an idea using a set of drawer slides similar to how bed drawers are set up just on a lighter scale.

I would love to see a picture of your current platform. Could give you better ideas then too.

Seems like the best thing you could do is get rid of that center console thing and make it a big flat platform.

How do you access the storage compartments?

Did your old seats fold down or up? Mine fold down and make a nice flat platform back there in stock form but I think they went away from those for whatever reason. Maybe you could revert to them

I made a platform similar to yours but the base encloses the foot well areas and it has three lids that lift up to access storage under the platform. I also removed the console and seat belts to get as flat of an area as possible. I could sleep in there pretty easy and the dog loves riding back there.

You could add feet to your platform to level it with the console. Would give you more storage space in the foot well area under the platform. Maybe even enough room to slide in a couple of tote boxes to keep thing organized.

Platform is staying as is and I’ve got everything sorted and situated under it how I like.

It’s a 2 piece platform so each side comes up separately so it’s super easy to access the cubbies underneath it for stuff.

    Mocked this up.

2 20” drawer slides and 2 sections of L stock.

The platform is 16”x22.5”. It’ll slide out 16”.

It’s basically just an extra flat surface. Plus it’s the same size as the gear bag I use for camping so I’m not losing any space.

I didn’t want to do a full slider just a small section.
