    Hey Gang,

My sliding seat in my 04 is not working, was when I bought it some months ago. The rear foot lever and hand lever work great but no longer slides forward simultaneously.

Is there a spring that has slipped off perhaps?

I use this feature daily as my kids love going to school in Dads truck vs. Moms SUV...dont blame em.

    Thanks for the help

Went to go look at how it works and basically the way it works is that once the seatback goes down to a certain point it pulls a cable which pulls the lock back from the bar with the slots in it which in turn releases the seat and it comes forward (assuming the large spring is also in tact). Kinda hard to explain.. So check this cable here to see if its broken or loose or disconnected. You may also need to just adjust it

Thanks Jim. That looks like the cable alright. Mine appears to be fine but I bet the problem is upstream at the foot pedal/wire connector (inside the damn seat). Poked and prodded a bit but pretty sure the issue is within the innards of the seat on the outboard side. If I have time Ill tinker more.

    Thanks much Jim
