    Bump, great stuff!!

Somebody should do a DIY write up on the security bar. Definitely would have helped to have 5-6 pictures to go with the beers when I installed it.

My locking clip on the sliding glass broke off and the dealer don't offer a replacement part. Looked at your nice crafted product but decided to go cheap and picked up a 3/8th's alum rod at HD for $7 for a 3-ft section; cut it to 11". Didn't like the metal to glass contact and placed a 5/16th vacuum plug at the end. Was gonna paint it but you can't see it behind the seat.

Lots of different options for this but none are as sleek and cool as the MG one is..................engineered to outlast the truck too, lol.

Unfortunately the 2nd & 3rd gen Tacoma's sliding rear window's are easy to break into.

My truck was broken into Monday, thief hit and popped the rear slider window, removed the center headrest and stole everything of value from the cab. This happened between noon and 2pm at my busy work parking lot (balsy stupid fucking asshole) either way, I ordered a bar yesterday.

If you're like me and think "my truck won't get broken into" just buy the damn thing! There's nothing worse than the feeling that someone else not only got into your vehicle, but stole your belongings. I had a lot of stuff in my truck to the point where I have no idea just how much was stolen. My center console and glove box had all kinds of things, only item that was visible was my radar detector, nothing was "out in the open" to cause anyone to break in. All stupid things but annoying to replace (ipod, gopro, wallet, sunglasses, eye glasses... again nothing in plain sight but the radar detector on the windshield)

One of the worst parts of this was seeing all my stuff tossed all over the cab... it really sucks. (toolbox was behind the passenger seat and it was emptied out and tossed on the front seat)
Everything from the glove box was dumped all over the floor.

Just curious, I like to leave my back slider cracked open, any chance of making a batch that are a couple inches shorter. That way it could stay cracked for when I'm parked in the sun but you can't get your hand in there to remove the bar?

Maybe only 1 inch shorter but you get the idea?
