    Hey Everyone,

On my 04 Tacoma, 3.4L V6. Every morning at cold start, I start the truck no issues, drop into drive and begin to drive. Right as I begin to drive forward there is a short, and not very loud grind noise from under the hood, that lasts less than a second. After that its good.
It will also happen occasionally happen when I fire back up after work, because having sat for 9 hours it is again cold. But if I am running errands and stopping at multiple places, it won't happen on any fire up except that initial.

I have tried a couple different things trying to trouble shoot. After the initial fire up where the grind occurs, I can drive, stop and proceed and nothing. I can stop shift into park, back into drive and go, nothing. I can park, turn off the engine, start back up and drive, nothing. I've even fired it up cold in the morning, shifted and drove a little in reverse first, then drop in to drive and it will do it, but again after that initial short grind, nothing.
I can fire up cold on the initial, let it warm up for several minutes, and it will still happen. I can fire up cold on the initial, ad rev the engine high, and it will still happen.

I've done some looking and the only thing close that i've read is people's A/C compressor grinding when it fires up cold, but my A/C hasn't been turned on.
This is more irritating than concern but just trying to think what it could be. I just changed my timing belt about a thousand miles ago, but if it was something with the belt pulleys you would think I would be hearing it a lot more often. I don't know, anyone have thoughts?
    Thanks
