Man, I am so sorry to hear what you are going through...sounds like you have a lot of local support coming from TW. As for Direct TV...you need to get some help with that...it's criminal. I'm out in California and the local news did a special on someone in the sacramento area going through the exact situation with them...The family went through the bank and got the charges reversed only to find out that DTV re-charged them several days later after finding out the bank pulled their payment. Call your local news agency and see if they have someone who can take your side. Nobody likes bad publicity. I know it sounds like a stretch but Direct TV cannot go around stealing peoples money, it's BULL SH!T.
I really hope things get better man...hang in there and take care of your family.

I'm really sorry to here all of this. It will get better!! Especially with people like Chris on your side. I have a brother-in-law in the Biloxi/Gulfport area of Mississippi in construction. If you are interested, I can check with him and see what work is like there, and if he needs anyone.

They are still rebuilding after Katrina, so there might be something.

Good luck - I'll drink a beer for ya......

It pretty much IS criminal to "steal" your money or using scare tactics to get you to pay. I'd be fukin raging if I found out some corporate asshats jacked money from my account

    RIP Lucy.
    She's gone but not forgotten.
I've been out and about pretty much all day, just now getting on here. They decided it's my father's gall bladder, surgery is tomorrow. They're gonna try endoscopic surgery, if that doesn't work he gets the real deal. Either way he's gonna be in the hospital for a while but he'll be fine. My kid woke up with just a sniffy nose and actually asked to go to school (her boyfriend will miss her). So she's OK.

I went newspaper surfing and found a company looking for some phone / data system techs. Sent them a resume today, have an interview tomorrow. I'm gonna be up all night studying phone switches! Pay is good for down here anyways, the best part is it's mostly field work. So I get to drive my taco all over and get paid to do it!

My bank called today and said before they can put the money DirecTV stole from me they need to cancel the debit card I have now and issue me a new one, so they won't just go right back in and take it again. I agreed. Hoping to hear tomorrow the money is back and they're going to reverse the overdraft charges those rectal projectiles caused me to rack up. Hopefully that is gonna work out. When it's all done I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB.

I whined with the house owner again today, she sounded sympathetic. Friends are telling me the owners know that they're gonna get their money late, but at least they're gonna get it. If they throw me out now this house is gonna sit empty for a year again (it did before I moved in) so it's in their best interest to just be patient. So hopefully this is gonna work out too.

The truck bank called and asked if I could make the payments after the 2 month deferment on just unemployment if I had to. I told them yes, the guy said that's the answer they need and to call back tomorrow. That one's still hanging out but looks promising.

It all hinges on me getting a job! Just as an insurance policy I'm gonna hit Wally Mart and UPS tomorrow and sign up for seasonal help positions.

Really appreciate all the support here folks. Bunch of great people ya'll are!

I had the endoscopic gall bladder surgery a few years back. I was back to work in a week. Sounds like things might just turn out OK. Take care.
