Did some wood hauling for a friend yesterday:

I finished installing my rear bumper license plate lights. (had to drill the holes a little wider on the allpro to get the screw in.)

I also Rain-x'd the outside windows and headlights, windex'd the inside windows. I would recommend Rain-X! For $7 you can't go wrong.

I switched fuel brands from Super Save Gas to Shell (at a whopping 1 cent more per liter) and this is what happened:

    Date Miles Gallons Price MPG
    16/03/11 285.8 14.244 $4.46 20.1
    12/03/11 249.8 13.356 $4.46 18.7
    05/03/11 229.9 14.188 $4.46 16.2

According to my newlu acquired OBDII reader, that number will be getting better! woooo

I left them on because they are functional in the winter. Unfortunately they were likely on since the factory and I broke 4 bolts removing them. I'll have to buy new hardware from the dealer for next winter.

I took a key, wrapped in it 4 or 5 napkins, wedged it in the light and basically turned the key. Light cover popped off.

I'm told if it doesn't turn on, switch the bulb around. I got it first try and boom:

Keep in mind these photos are taken with my phone.

Pros: BRIGHT. This is what should happen when you open your doors.

Cons: They don't work correctly with the door open and on settings. It works properly with the key turned to acc or on. I also found it works properly without the key if one of the map lights is turned on.

my light won't go off when I shut the door even on the door setting... kinda frustrating since I have to leave it off all the time.

Stumbled across an interesting tidbit with the dome light, I used my command start to start the truck and the dome light came on when I opened the door. So bright!
