Did the ol wood run with my friend again, and once again, the rear popped right back up after it was unloaded. (also seen my first bit of mud at the mill! Took it like a champ)

How much did the ICON AAL and OME 881s cost you? I'm looking to basically do the same thing but I'm reading that I should just get a simple AAL from Eibach and to match up with Eibach coils. Are the 881s smooth riding on the highway?

Shit man i don't remember how much. I think 150 for the coils and 150 for the aal. I bought it all from a place in Kamloops called Baja North. Really nice guys there. http://www.bajanorth.ca/

So far I i like the 881's alot, yes they are smooth on the highway. And each time I have actually gone off road (never really full wheeling just some bumps or dirt roads) i'm always surprised how smooth it is.

I do have quite the taco lean so I would suggest getting something to fix that. Other than that I can't complain. The aal is still standing pretty tall and the front doesn't really seem like it settled too low. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the insight! I was going to go with the 880 but maybe the 881 is the way to go. Sorta like future-proofing! BTW, nice build!

So would you say the Icons gave you about a 3 in lift in the back? I know it says 1.5, just curious how that works compared to other AAL.

First of all, I was replacing 9 year old suspension. I also was given a brand new stock leaf pack with the frame replacement. When all was said and done I definitely got 3 inches of lift from the package. The front has settled a bit but the back stands tall still. I don't really haul anything heavy in the bed.

Okay cool. I have a set of Icon AAL ready to get installed, just a little curious. Want to make sure I set my Bilstean 5100's to the right setting. Truck looks good!

How much lift did you end up with with the 881s and 5100s?

In addition to the amount of lift achieved (above post), do you have any cv boot issues with the 5100/OME 881 setup? Do the inner boots rub to where they show a wear line/mark, or is the lift not high enough?
    Thanks!

I would still buy the old frame... a thousand times better than mine.
