question - is the 6000k mostly white with a slight hue of blue? I want a pure white but see that a 5000k isn't offered, as I'm not really a fan of blue headlights due to the decrease in visibility.

at the same time, I don't want a hint of yellow in the lights either, which I'm guessing the 4300k will have?

You are correct the 6000K is pure white with a slight hue of blue and the 4300K is pure white with a slight hue of yellow. The 4300K isn't as yellow as your probably picturing it's actually pretty close the pure white.

Slim, I haven't seen this question and wonder if there are temp. differences between the 4300s & 6000s. I ask in regards to if one has a higher operating temp, and our higher summer temps reduce the longevity of the specific bulbs. I'm interested in the H4/H11 Slim Dig 6000k's for headlights & fogs on a 2012 DC w/stock headlights and am inquiring if this is the best choice?

Thank you for the question. The wattage is the same at 35w so the operating temperatures are going to be equivalent between 4300K and 6000K. I wouldn't worry to much on the summer heat as I have sold a lot to Arizona and Texas. Where do you live? I think you will have no problems going 6000K for both heads and fogs.

would you say the 4300k is closer to pure white than the 6000k is?

yeah I saw that on a search earlier, thanks for the tip though. I'll probably end up going with the 4300ks for the headlights since I want 3000k fogs - the blue and yellow mix may look a little weird.

Yes, that is a good picture to show the difference from 6000K to 4300K. :) I like both and have ran both on my truck.
