    Hello,
I have a 2020 SR 4wd Tacoma. I had a local auto shop replace a rack and pinion. The shop also broke my clock spring and steering angle sensor when doing this. They replaced both.
Now when driving highway speeds and making slight turns my slip indicator light is flashing. Less often it is happening when driving straight and causing my brakes to not work, ABS braking causes it not to stop. Went through a couple stop signs because I couldn't stop. A few times it has thrown a code that there was no connection to steering angle sensor. I assume he put a cheap aftermarket one in. Would buying OEM help this? Wheel speed sensors are all reading the same speed and steering angle senor is reading 0 when straight.

I’d take it back and tell them to fix it right.
Why did it need a steering rack in the first place?

I am not taking it back to them. He is clueless on it. He had the truck for over 2 months trying to figure it out and replaced the clock spring and SAS twice as he did more damage each time he worked on it. He didn't charge me.
Rack and pinion due to a leak.

Gotcha, I think there’s what is called a “zero point” calibration, try a search,,, sorry I’m on my phone.

Go to a real mechanic, not some stupid "technician". He doesn't know what he's doing. He'll only make it worse.

Yes! Non-OEM steering angle sensors are still not up to standards and we've seen this issue a few times here with replacements.
