slip joint on the drive shaft??? axel wrap??

    Cool. Yeah, the lube won't eliminate axle wrap, but helps a bit with the clunking/jerking caused by axle wrap and is a necessary service item every 15k miles.

    This sounds like the exact problem I am having.

    Is this a known issues on the Gen2 taco's as well?
    I have a 06 ext cap trd sport

    This is an issue with all leaf spring setup, when the springs are weak.

    For the 2nd gens, yo umight want to look into the leaf spring TSB (I think that is what it is called, but I don't have a 2nd gen). It is all over this site. Try starting with a search under the suspension topics. Hmm, maybe it was AAL (add a leaf) TSB. Basically, Toyota adds an extra leaf to the stock leaf pack for you to correct the payload capacity, which is related. IIRC.
