Need some driveline experts as I can’t find a solid answer. I converted my prerunner to 4wd (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/05-15-2wd-to-4wd-conversion-guide-for-dummies.716703/) and I shortened it to accommodate the transfer case I now have.
Here’s what my old one looked like, notice the slip yoke on the front that goes into the transmission.

And in the bottom of the pic, is my old shaft I just shortened and put a flange and slip yoke on, on the top is a stock 4wd driveshaft I was temporarily using with a custom mount to make it fit (stock except for the carrier bearing).

I just realized the slip yoke on the stock 4wd is on the rear portion of driveshaft and the one I just shortened, the slip yoke is on the front portion. My question is, will this work? I also just noticed the carrier bearing on the prerunner shaft is designed to move whereas the 4wd driveshaft has a different design and doesn’t appear to move. Will I have any binding?
