On a 2006 4x4 double cab short bed, with 6'' procomp lift, Truck has axle shims and center bearing drop kit, driveshaft is aligned well.

I am doing some maintenance around vehicle as I have been getting some rear end wine at speed, (not that this is directly related but want to adress this anyways) I noticed the front clamp on the yoke "boot" was missing so I pulled the boot back and noticed the splines for the driveshaft are extended about an inch out of the yoke.

In this picture truck is sitting on all four tires in driveway, not on jack stands or lift or anything. I am just wondering if this is normal to have the splines this far out, or if I should look into getting a drive line spacer such as the one I posted the picture of? A spacer as such would go between the driveshaft rear flange near the third member, essentially elongating the rear driveshaft, and pushing the splines further into the yoke.

Doesn't it need that room to shorten when there's a load in the box and/or the springs compress when you hit a bump?

It's normal, I wouldn't mess with it other than fixing the clamp to keep weather out.

It looks OK but I would throw in a little more grease while you have it opened up... just because
