Hey everyone, looking for some guidance and help here. I have a 18 Tacoma TRD Sport that is stock(I know I need to put some mods on it). I went to the dealership because I was experiencing a thump in the ear end when accelerating from a stop. They said the slip yoke was a little dry and they put some grease in. It seems the thump still happens not every time, but sometimes when accelerating from a stop. Anyone have any other suggestions?

thanks I’m advance for Antunes help here

This is the story of my life for years. Just last month I replaced the rear shocks. The upper bushings were stiff which allowed play when starting. I would tighten down upper shock nuts and see if that helps. You can do it without even taking the tire off. If it does, go buy bushings and squeeze them down until they expand to the width of the washers on both sides of the bushing. Good luck.

Thank you for the advice, and what else to check. Then again this just might be how the tacomas are
