Is it sad that I wish I got even better mileage?... haha. Damn thing is too expensive to drive compared to my car, especially since I'm not getting anywhere near 20 anymore like it did on factory size tires.
You got me there... well sort of... Wanna race?:stirthepot: haha:D

Part of the reason why I want a turbo! If you can keep your foot out of the throttle on a boosted vehicle, you can actually improve your fuel economy and turbos are more efficient than S/C so even more mpg:D

On the down side I would have a hard time keeping my foot out of it and would probably get even worse MPG. I have a hard time keeping my foot out of my 4.88's:rolleyes: haha

I get about 13 with 33's and stock gears, but when driving to school im on dirt roads and most of the time im on the highway im accelerating right until i get to town about 7 miles away. When i go to work about 30 miles away i do around 60 and get around 16.

Let me get my skids and rear bumper on here in a few months and then we will try the mountain race. If you do beat me it won't be by much. There can't be that many mountains up there that would require me to be on 37's but 33's also can't do it too. haha So I just need the skids and rear bumper so I can beat on the rig a little harder without worrying about trashing it:D

You lost mpg because you're geared lower than stock.... less load on the engine but more RPM. And because the skinny pedal is fun when you're geared low! :D
SC helps with that, and (not couting variables such as tire width and weight) a gear ratio that's too high (stock gears with 33s) improves gas mileage on the highway. Simply because you're covering more ground with the same amount of load on the engine once you're at speed.

I bet you city mileage ain't too awesome.... ;)
    You'd win!!!!

Dang. I'd think you're highway milage would be a bit better... that seems about right though. If possible, try cruising around 65 or 70 and see if that makes a difference. :notsure:

Sooo was on the way home from school tonight, noticed I had a 1/3 tank of gas left and decided to fill up.. 13 mpg!!! :( Granted, that's all city driving with the hubs locked and intermitly in 4wd for a few days during the snow... but I was hoping for a bit better. I'll take it easy on the throttle and see if I can get that number up a tad next time.

Well 5.29s are supposed to be still around stock or higher ratio so that's cool haha

    I gotta decide in 37s & 5.29s or 4.88s and 35s

That's all I can do with 33's on 4.88's. Little more than a chirp though. It will light the inside one up pretty good.

too bad the highway I normally drive on to work is a 55:eek:. but i realized maybe its because I haven't done anything as far as tune-up since i've owned the truck (about 20k miles) and god knows when anything was done before that. New plugs and a fuel filter would probably help.
