Ya, just seeing those 2 packs stretched and flattened like that makes me think they won't last long. But who knows

Hmm... I'm thinking they'll be ok..... a looot of rigs run these leaves harder tha I do, and fare just fine. I know you've seen SupraTT's rear end flex, and we're running pretty much the exact same set-up... He's not afraid to beat his truck!

Most of the breakage/bending I've seen from these leaves come from people not running bumpstops and allowing the leaf pack to go in a negative arch. (Mine are set-up so they will never flex past flat) My buddy, David (yotabeast505) has gone through a few 64" chevy packs since he doesn't run bumpstops...

If something ever does happen, at least they only cost $15 at the local u-pull-and-pay, and will never run out of stock! :D

I wouldn't worry about them, they'd prob bend before they break.

Finally broked a CV axle with the 37s. and was able to change it without dropping the stupid heavy skid plate! :woot:

Was my fault though.... I was going up a nice, slick climb in 4lo, locked front and rear, (like I've done several times before). To make a long story short, I took a bad line, ended up high-centering on the right side of my frame on the crest of the hill, suspended my right front tire 3' in the air, left rear tire a few inches in the air, and putting most of my truck's weight on the left front tire... I couldn't hook up a strap to anyone (since I was the only truck out there. :D) and unlocking the front wasn't helping at all, since the rear wasn't getting any traction. Soooo I was applying light throttle in reverse, left front was the only tire getting traction, and it started pushing me back down the rock. That's when the steering wheel shot out of my hands to the left.. It hit full lock, the outer joint on the driver side CV bound up, and *snap*. I should have just let up on the throttle when I felt the steering wheel pulling so hard... :\

Eventually got my truck back down the hill with some creative use of the high-lift... and 3 wheel drive (just kept the front diff locked and unlocked the left hub)

Took the opportunity to show my little brother how to change a CV axle. :D

Yup... I think it's good to break a CV axle every once and a while.... it means your pushing the limits and wheeling hard.

    This is why

    a.) Silas is awesome

    and

b.) Silas should convert to a live axle.
