You had to modify it, right? I'm assuming it's the OEM 3rd gen piece that you buy as a dealer option?

If I recall right the one that gets put on the V6 you'd have to extend the flange forward (or get an adapter made) by a few inches...

Also, need video! I have roughly the same setup as you (no intake though) so I wanna hear if it would pass my very high standards. :p

Yep had a muffler shop modify it and put it on for $117. I'll get a video of it up shortly. Just need a second person inside to run the gas while I video it!

How's the lift kit holding up now that you've had it for some time? Want to do something similar with my 2017 ac 2.7 4x4. I see you went to 888 springs and I found that interesting as I've been thinking either 884 or 885 since we have the lighter tacomas- to keep from making too drastic of a change. Not sure now. Definitely want to get the Dakar medium leaf pack and 5100 all around. Only weight so far is some rock sliders and aux lighting. Skids in the future.

Love the kit with 888s for 3 inch lift and the heavy duty dakars since I always load the truck up with heavy stuff! I've got about 43k on the kit. Put it in the truck at about 12k and I got 55k now!

Nice! The heavy duty Dakars not to harsh when the bed is empty? The more I read on the subject the more conflicting info. The fact that most of these trucks are the opposite of our SR 4cyl makes it even harder to find out. Thanks for the real world experience and doing an awesome build.

@moe2o4 Do the RideRite's RideRough when the bed is empty? I've heard that a few times.

    Hey Corey,

I saw you installed the (aFe Power 51-82722 Magnum FORCE Stage-2 Si Pro DRY S Cold Air Intake System (Part #51-82722) on your truck. I have the same one off my 2009 2tr. I went to install it on my 2017 4cyl truck and it looks like our truck has another connector/sensor off the factory intake other than the mass air flow sensor. Did you just leave this unplugged?

In regards to your LCE headers, would you recommend heat wrapping them?

Hi there Corey first of all thank you sharing these mod processes I own an SR double cab as many others , but I've been on the whim about getting a TRD PRO , OR etc. Since certain things come with those you would have to install and whenever i mention to the parts dept they always go "I wouldn't recommend that." Anywho I am thankful to say seeing your details on the MOD's I will be keeping my SR and slowly modding and understanding my truck. Can't wait to see what else you conjure up .

    Anything ever come of this?

Just noticed the same exact fluid leakage/marks under my ‘17 SR with about 35k miles on it. I want my dealer to replace the seal under warranty if it is and check my diff fluid too.

had to deal w/ exact same issue on my '17. It showed up around 1500 miles or so, brand new. Torquing bolts didnt work so dealership took it apart and used gasket maker on it. At 40k now, dry as a bone. And i think your warranty is 60k, but dont quote me on that. Good luck!

Thanks man! It’s CPO and still within the 1 year/12,000 mile full coverage warranty too.

Did they mention anything about being low on diff oil or anything related after tearing it apart?

nah, not low at all. It looked similar to yours, just a little diff sweat. Truck could have gone its whole life w/o it being addressed, probly. I just had a really hard time knowing ive got a seeping diff on a brand new truck!

Aha my same exact thoughts and gives me an excuse to make them address it and look at it without any push back
