Pixel 3, and I have the overheating problem in my Tacoma. Takes about 20 minutes to overheat the phone and it charges about 2% in that time.

Mine definitely works, but it certainly isn’t fast. Since it’s placed in a pretty inconvenient spot I tend to not mess with my phone and that seems to help.

Haven't even bothered using mine. No real interest in it. My phone is typically at full-charge upon leaving the house every day. I charge it at work too so there is no need to ever touch it. I'd trade that for a CD-player if I had the choice.

I have a Pixel 4xl. My phone needs to be closer to lip by the shifter to start charging via Qi. It charges close to 800mA, not fast but it tops off the phone well enough. Compare this to about 3400mA with the original a/c charger that came with the phone. These rates are both with the screen off. Its never been on the Qi charger for an extended period of time so no heat issues to speak of.

mAh isn’t a unit of charge rate. It’s a unit of total charge.

Mine works fine, Pixel 3 and Note 8, not fast, but fine. The only time it flashes overheats is the few times it's really hot outside and my phone is really hot while out at the range. I keep my phone charged, and a cord in the armrest if I really need to pop a charge.

It just dawned on me.....I never had an issue with my LG android until I used the Qi charger in my 2017 that I bought last month. Now my phone is acting all F$#cked up. My brother and I have the same phone bought at same time with mostly similar apps and usage ( business phones). His works perfectly

I had to stop using it I was enjoying the wireless CarPlay adapter I purchased but I found that after about 25-30 minutes of driving my iPhone XS overheated to the point where it stopped working appropriately for a few minutes.

While installing an anytime backup camera rig, I removed the Qi switch rather than expanding. Easy decision
